Tender relations can be remedied by tenderizing the meat!
Crock pot is a good choice. Though they usually get obnoxious at sexual maturity/roasting age so don't overlook that method either.

Freat idea, unfortunately, not an option at my place. And no one in the vicinity is willing to do it for me, even when offered pay (or the rooster). Rather frustrating really, especially after having to deal with four in a row.
