HELP!! One of my ducklings has attached to one side of egg

Oh, ugh! :/

Well, do you have any water in the bator? If you do, I'd remove it all and run the bator dry...

Yes there's water in the bottom, why should I empty it, I thought the purpose was to add humidity, I am just trying to understand. I will candle another egg in a bit and send a picture so you can see exactly where most of the air cells are

Humidity is used to control the moisture loss in the egg... too much moisture loss and the duckling can't turn around to hatch... too little moisture loss and the duckling drowns before it can pip... if your air cells aren't getting big enough, then humidity needs to be lowered to allow more moisture loss...

This should help you see how big the air cells should be...

Oh, and once they are ready to hatch, you do raise the humidity high then...

Ok so I need to remove the water for how long, now I'm super worried.

You have time, don't worry... just remove it and watch the air cells... once they get bigger then you can add water again, or 3 days before hatch...

Wait, you said you are on day 15, right? But then you said hatch day is in 7 days???

These are mallards, yes? They take 28 days to hatch...

This picture is from just a little bit ago , I am on day 21 and my air cell is way smaller than that chart you sent says it should be. Now I am totally panicked!! What if they all die :(

Just calm, you still have a bit of time... that's why I suggested removing all water from the bator and watching the air cells... at this point, that's all that you can do...

I removed the water but I'm also incubating 6 call duck eggs and I'm on day 11 with them, will this affect them by removing the water?

How do their air cells look? I always incubate my Calls with very low humidity, never add water before hatch either... :)

The air sac seems OK but idk is it the same as all eggs per the chart? I had 18 call duck eggs and only 6 were fertile they all however seem to be developing at different rates, some embryos seem smaller while some seem older, I am starting to think that the eggs were from a different hen and laid in different days. Please pass on any information you can give me regarding the call ducks. Originally I only planned on incubating them and a sweet lady who follows me on my Facebook page regarding my duck sanctuary sent me the Mallard eggs when she learned that I was starting chemotherapy and was looking for something to keep me motivated. The Mallards were a bonus while the call ducks were a purchased expense. I want them all to hatch but really have my heart set on the call ducks!!
