Welcome to BYC! You made a good choice with the buffs. Don't have a lot of experiences with geese, but most have not been good. They are territorial and will attack at times. The BO's are sweet, friendly hens, and will make good pets in addition to being good layers. And should you decide to raise chicks from eggs, they also make great mothers.
