If you had read the whole thread, you'd see that in post #15, the OP is now claiming that they are the ones who are being kept awake by the rooster and their landscaping has been dug up by the neighbor's chickens, and it's the neighbors that want to start a 500-bird hatchery. OP says they were wanting "to get a general feel for the response of the farming community in general, and specifically the hobbyist or small business owner." It's beneficial to read the whole thread before replying.
I agree with Centrarchid that this is not the place to try to garner support or sympathy for either side. Take it to your local authorities, zoning commission, animal control, county board, or whoever else you can think of if you want to stop them from starting a hatchery, or to change the laws so they can't have a rooster or whatever.
