mystery egg

All of my hens are supposed to lay brown eggs. I have one lone leghorn laying a white egg. The weird thing is, I have been finding TWO white eggs every day. One is very large, and one is almost as small as a bantam egg.
I have naked necks, RIR, buckeyes, barred rocks, delawares, speckled sussex hens. And ONE leghorn.
I examined the egg in sunlight. It is very definitely white, not very light brown. Has anyone ever had a chicken who would lay a white egg when they're supposed to lay brown eggs? A chicken who could lay more than one egg on a regular or near regular basis? Am I mistaken, and someone is actually a white egg layer (in which case I have a whole other problem)?
Next week when I have a day off I am going to station myself in the chicken yard to find out, but until then, any ideas?
(The leghorn is probably about 3 years old, and I don't use supplemental light in my coop)

Is the large white egg consistent with the leghorns eggs?
The smaller white egg could be from one of your brown layers with some kind of a 'spray booth' or other reproductive problem...egg is being expelled before the coating is applied.
Any of your brown layers just coming back into lay after molting/winter break?
Leghorn could be going thru some kind of a glitch as spring hormones start to flow.

Just some thoughts.....Best of cLuck on your stake out.

It kind of is consistent with what she lays, as far as shell strength & texture.
No one is just coming out of a molt or illness....
And the thought of two eggs coming from her in the span of probably about 6 hours doesn't seem likely at all. Those things take TIME.
I can't wait to find out who's doing it!

sometimes chickens will lay eggs that are very light of even white when they start to lay but she is 3 years old. This is just like the time when I got a small egg that was only half and inch tall. I do not have seramas and all my chickens lay medium to large eggs.

We found a half inch or so tall egg in the nest box. It was perfect inside, complete with tee-tiny yolk.

Honestly, I think someone may have a malfunction in their spray booth, like @aart said. Staking on on Wednesday to find out for sure.

It was a BUCKEYE! I caught her today, and her egg was very VERY light brown, same size as the mystery white egg. Mystery solved!
