This is Hedgy, he was found on my steps, making a heck of a lot of noise for something so tiny, He was going peep peeep peeeep,,, I bottle fed him as his eyes and ears were closed and he had ever so soft prickles, so cute, He is in a box while I clean his cage.

Hedgy at 7 days

Have you ever cared for hedgehogs? Hope he makes it!

Hi , he is doing great, they have to be fed pet milk because straight cows milk will kill them, he will be released when he reaches 800grms, if he doesnt get there before winter he cant be released. So I will build him an outdoor house and lots of hay to keep him warm and keep feeding him. They eat meat, cat food, he doesnt get pet milk anymore, I am worried about release date as he has not hunted, no mum to show him what to do. I wont release him until I know he ready.

I forgot to say, he was in a brooder for a month to keep him warm.

Very VERY cool!

I raise wallaby's and occasionally those baby birds that fall out of the nest, and its just so amazing! Like having a child though- ha ha. Sounds great! Hopefully he will survive out there, your doing great with him, he was tiny!
