Hobbling Chicken

I have a chicken who has been laying around by herself and not following the rest of the flock. I noticed yesterday that she is hobbling on her left leg. If she needs to go somewhere quickly she flaps her wings and flys a little. The rest of my hens just run. I am trying to upload a video of her. If someone could give me some advice about her or tell me how to upload the video that would be great. Thanks.

You can post it on youtube and give us a link or use the "film reel" to upload your video (I think) .

In the meantime, gather up your hen and inspect her legs, hocks, feet (bottom of the feet too) and look for any swelling, bruising, cuts/scrapes, scabs or wounds.

You may want to contain her so she doesn't injure herself further (if she has an injury). A good way to do this is setting up a wire kennel or cage inside the run - she can still see her flockmates.

Offer her some poultry vitamins that contain B2(riboflavin) and see that she is drinking and eating.

There are many causes of limping - sprains and injuries can be common, but diseases like Marek's or Mycoplasma S. can also have symptoms that affect the legs as well.

Ok, I will get her tonight and put her in my spare chicken tractor. I will look her over and check for those things you listed. Thank you for the suggestions. I will update later.
 
Check the bottom of her foot - do you see a scab or any injury?
It's hard to see but it looks like the scales on her feet are raised which can be an indication of Scaly Leg Mites.

If you have a way to separate her that would be good so she can rest and you can treat her.

While you have her, feel of her abdomen to see if you feel any bloat or swelling, but the way she is moving makes me think she has some type of foot/leg injury.
 
Her nail is missing on her little back one and it looks like there is a small cut on it. She did not do anything when I touched it or moved it around. She is in a small coop that I have by herself. I will try to take a picture of it. She does not seem to want to put an pressure on it. I had someone tell me to take 2 popsicle sticks and make a splint for her leg.
