Hi all! i got some ducklings about two weeks ago and have been keeping them in a homemade brooder in our home. the ducklings otcourse have grown so much that they have outgrown the tote i have had them in. i allow them time to swim daily in the bathtub supervised ofcourse and they are almost "waterproof" < i dunno how else to put that hahaha. so my question is do yall think itd be okay to make a little fence for them to be outside? im gonna buy a little kiddy pool and im gonna make them a little shelter thing hopefully gonna find a way to stick the heat lamp in there. they have become too stinky to keep in the house and we have no garage. i change their bedding twice a day but they poop so much its crazy! haha:this pic is from a few days ago they're even bigger now !!

At that size they should be okay especially if you get a heat lamp in there. If you are worried maybe try keeping them outside during the day and inside at night for a few days and then move them outside full time. Of course if you don't have a completely enclosed coop or full supervision you will always run the risk of a critter getting them, but that's a part of owning prey animals. You will probably be fine though as long as you have them fully enclosed at night,
