Well I felt bad the coop suggest 16 to 18 birds for this Coop not enough room for the 10 chicken I currently have. So we added a 16 ft square run. Will I be ok with the coop? They sleep on the top by the roof, not on the roosting bars.
400

I would remove the interior wall to the coop and turn the original coop+run into a new coop. Your new run is significantly larger than 16 ft2 (that's only 4x4). Looks to be plenty for 10 hens. They are roosting outside because it is too tight and hot inside.

Great idea.. Thank you.. I haven't decided yet to build a new coop and sell this one or modify it like you said. I paid 400. For it. I think I could sell it for 300. I bought it feb 28th 2017, it's still new but used. I could build something stronger. Just throwing things around.

Everyone who has bought one of those needs to take it back to the store and pitch a fit. $400 would of paid for most of the materials for an 8x8 coop one big enough for the amount of hens they alledge that one will hold.
If you can sell it, sell it. It will never live up to what you need.

I originally was going to get this coop myself but I saw it set up in the store and thought it would be nice for just my three male silkies to have as a bachelor complex. Instead my mom got me a 7x7 shed for the same price that we are using for the coop and we are building a 30x30 run around it. Now all the chickens can live together in the chicken garden I am planting for them which should be nice. The shed is coming tomorrow already, super excited to see it. Has windows, double doors, and even a sky light that can be closed off for winter.

I'm learning things the hard way. I bought a smaller one an sold it and bought this one.. Going to look for plans to build one. They say this last for 2 years. That's why I think I should build one.

Been there done that, I got the smaller red one but luckily I got it on sale plus another 20% off so I just use it as a pen inside an old horse stall to acclimate new members to the flock.
