Making a small coop. Should the feeder go inside the house or inside the run? Space might be an issue and I hear they don't eat much after they go inside to roost.

Thoughts?

Location, effects the answer. I got 67 coops and None have ever had food, water or nesting boxes inside them.

I like my feeders outside , I don't like the wild birds eatting all my seed and pooping in it!!

I've got a rain gutter feeder attached to the wall in the coop so it doesn't take up floor space, but I feed them fermented feed each morning outside and I scatter layer feed on the ground each afternoon...
Good luck deciding what works for you

Inside the coop elevated so mice and rats can not eat the feed also decreases wild birds from eating the feed every day. It will also stay dry and clean.

I have always had food & water inside the coop, because I use lights in the winter & to keep the food away from critters. They are in the coop several hours in the winter eating & drinking before it is light outside. I have my waterer on a crate to keep it above the litter & never have a wet coop problem, as many others state. They also grab a bite to eat at dusk when they go in. If the coop is too small that is a problem, but there are other problems with small coops. It is best to give your chickens extra room from the start. JMHO
