I am having the hardest time finding chicks in my area. I already have 4, so I certainly do not want 6 to 10 more that is the minimum for most places. I am allowed chickens in my area, but am limited to how many. Does anyone know of a place in the north Houston, TX area?
 
I don't know if you have a local one, but I would check with a feed store. My local feed store allows me to order as many chicks as I want. I am even able to select the gender(s) of the chicks I want. I can order anywhere from 1-100+. This is not just for chickens, but other birds as well. Shipments come in every two weeks, and I don't even have to pay shipping. I just pay for the chicks.
