Dubbing OEG combs/ wattles?

Here we go coooold highs in the teens lows near 0. One of my roos got out,now i get to pamper and doctor them. Glad i caught them before it got any worse.

They originated as fighting birds and were dubbed because when they fought the comb wattles and earlobes acted like a handle and sometimes they got there heads seriously damaged because of the other bird yanking and pulling on there comb wattles and earlobes by the other bird. Breeding to the standard means to make the bird look as close to what the true original old english looked like when they were used to fight. Basically you want them to look like they could win a fight and to do so dubbing is necessary. Ya i know kinda stupid but its the standard.

A lot of people up north dub to protect from frostbite as well.
