Carpenter BEES , HELP

I'm not a big fan of pesticides but there is a product called " Cyper- WP" that will get rid of carpenter bees. Our house was built before 1860 and we have a beautiful rock chimney that was made with local stone and some kind of sawdust mortar that the bees love . So unfortunately, we have to spray for them every year or two to keep our chimney intact. Cyper is a wettable powder and I think each packet makes about 1 gallon. It will kill termites also , so it is pretty strong be very careful if you use it.

Hay! We have them here in the south. Was thinking of a log home but decided we have all the insects that would love to eat it. We built a large porch with treated lumber and here they come. I resorted to wacking them with the dogs stainless steel bowl, I put duct tape over the hole and watched him eat threw from the glue side. Gave me the willies to see his mouth actually chew threw.

Then got the metal tape with serious glue here he comes. Gross i love all animals but, bees/bugs and there sound just gives me goosebumps. Ha! you ought to here the sound when you wack them with the steel pan." PING"!

Oh I think the tobacco is for the sting-If you get stung you wet some tobacco and put it on the sight and it draws out the stinger.
