Exploding egg in incubator

No, but it will cause the bator to smell like something died. DO NOT WASH THE EGGS. You could have wiped them off gently with a dry cloth. Washing or wiping to hard will embed junk. Some of the eggs will make it.
 
has it already exploded or are you worried about one?
I was advised to put upside down dixie cups over questionable eggs to keep the splatter down.
So far no explosions for me.

Did you have any indicator that the egg was going to explode? Any bad smell? I had a bad smell in my incubator tonight and I found it by sniffing the eggs. But what if I had missed it??

I am TERRIFIED of an egg blowing up. It is becoming a phobia! LOL
 
yup.. exploding eggs.. yuck! i had a stinky eggs in the bator (for the first time ever) and i had to sniff eggs before i found it. I even had my oldest DD sniff it to make sure it wasn't just my sniffer. haha. also heard of weeping eggs are an indicator sometimes too
