Successful first hatch - broody hen and chicks photos!

My broody GLW finally got her wish - I gave her eggs I purchased from halo - blue over barred rock and blue rock over easter eggers.

Here they are -successfully hatched over Monday and Tuesday. They are now living in the house due to our torrential rains of late.

There are 5 blue/barred rocks and 4 blue rock/EE.

Yes - you are correct - Golden Laced Wyandotte. They are beautiful indeed. Mine are from Mt. Healthy Hatchery - purchased the chicks at a feed store several years ago.

The last gray (blue) chick has a white spot on the top of its head, as does one of the black chicks. According to halo, the blue over barred cross gives a sex-linked trait - the roos have a white spot on the head. I don't know about the blue rock/EE cross. At least I know 2 of the 9 are roos. It would be too awesome if I have 7 pullets!
 
Here are 8 of the 9 from the top during the relocation process from the monsoons outside to the warm, dry den! The little gray cockerel is already back with its foster mama. BantyGirl13 - you can see one of the chicks may not quite be black - but it is much darker than the gray ones. (See the light and dark chicks backed up to the thermometer.) You may be right - maybe it is a darker blue one, not a black. I'm sure halo will be able to tell me which are which.
