Those little weevils can cause illness. It's like having a bunch of mice in the feed. They poop in it and contaminate it.

Piggy backing this thread. Went to fill my scratch small container and the bin is filled with these. They werent there about 2 weeks ago. Guess I need to toss it? I offered some of the bugs to my hens and they ate them up.
I offered them Mostly out of revenge to the little bastids.

I would just pitch them somewhere and clean out the container, before adding any fresh scratch. Mary

Hope you don't store your scratch in your house. Those insects will migrate to your kitchen and infest all of your carb based products in your pantry/cupboards.

Indian meal moths: an absolute horror. Been there, done that! I inspect for them when I go into a feed store to buy anything. If I see signs of them, I take my business elsewhere.
