When do Easter Eggers start laying?

Pics
One of my girls laid their first egg! It is kinda small but from what everyone says they should get bigger. But they are 17 weeks hopefully the other girls start following suit.

Ahhhh! How exciting! Our Easter Eggers will be 16 weeks this Saturday. Woo Hoo! I thought our Leghorn was supposed to lay first (she hatched the same day). That means the EE's may their first eggs while I'm on vacation. One thing they did start doing last week was roosting in the trees with the other hens. Now I have two in the coop at night and 6 in the trees. It will be interesting this winter to see if they'll come down.

Yea it was awesome. I didn't get any yesterday though. But I know they are gonna start being more frequent. I put my girls outside very late winter when they were 4 weeks old. I had heat at night but it's an old greenhouse so it gets warm during the day anyway. This pic is when it was still believing freezing out. They didn't mind it at all.

Got my chicks on February 18th the day after my chickens got attacked by a dog one started laying, a month ago. My other's have not started yet, it is August. I am beginning to wonder if they will.

My cuckoo marans and EE's should be starting any day now I think. No squatting yet but I think the faces are red - can someone go further into detail of what I am looking for with red faces,
All you look for in the faces is if the comb get big and red/hot pink. Squatting was the best indicator for mine. My EE and my cochin laid a week after they started squatting.

My easter egger is 26 weeks. no eggs yet! she's much smaller than her RIR sister, is all black (skin, beak, legs... jet back with a green sheen to her feathers) she has no comb to speak of. I'm not seeing any red coloring, does an all black chicken turn red?

she's skiddish (follows me at a distance, panics when i pick her up, been like this since day 1) hasn't shown any signs of being submissive.

Is there any other signs i can hope for? I'm sooooo ready to see what color these eggs are going to be!!!

I have two EEs. Spot started laying at 23 weeks, and Honey is now past 27 weeks and has yet to lay or show any signs of laying. Honey is like your black chicken, Starkist, she is super skittish, hard to catch and freaks when you pick her up. It will be hard to tell if she squats or not because you can't get a hand over her to tell!

Spot does a full-on squat like my Orpingtons, but my girlfriend's laying EEs don't squat. When Spot was almost ready to lay, she started checking out the nest boxes regularly. That was how I knew it was coming, along with the developing squat. Honey doesn't have the slightest interest in the nest boxes, so I have some waiting to do yet.

We ordered from my pet chicken and we were supposed to get a silver laced wyandotte and got an egger instead.
Congratulations to all those first-time eggs!  Hey!  I got mine from mypetchicken and let me tell you, it's been a horrible experience.  They were supposed to send me 3, but I received 5 instead (first mistake).  Then, I found out that I have one with a crooked beak (He is so bad now, that I may have to put him down).  Yes, He's a HE!  Wait!  There's more!  Now, my crooked beak is a Rooster!  So, then another chicken (wait, no, he's a Rooster) was trying to kill my crooked beak!  Thank God I was home at the time because if I wasn't he would have killed my crooked beak (he was bloody when I found him, with severe pecks ot his face).  Ok, so I got rid of the little Rooster trouble maker.  NOW TODAY!  I am almost sure that the 3rd one is s Rooster, too!

I ordered 3 females, and I got 3 roosters, and 2 females.  I called mypetchicken a few times and have complained.  All they have done was apologize and refund me for shipping and 2 birds (due to the mistake in sending me 5 instead of 3).

Does anyone live in the SoCal area and wants a Rooster?  He is pretty, white with a few brown feathers.
