Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I had also picked up 3 kiwi plants/vines at Lowes this summer (clearance rack, $1.00 a plant because the leaves had fallen off; watered them, they came right back. Score! :celebrate. ) I have them in my raised garden beds over the winter until I decide their permanent location. If you do get hardy kiwis, know that you need a female and a male for pollination. Transplanted some currant bushes from a relatives place, hoping they will come back in the spring! :fl

I got 3 (2 F, 1 M) kiwis from lowes for a dollar each also several months ago!! We didn't have the area for them cleared yet, so we planted them in bigger containers in the garden. They were growing well, so I hope them come back again next year too.! Let me know how yours make out.

I was just outside and my golden sebright roo just let out a perfect, beautiful crow. the amazing thing is, he's never even ATTEMPTED to crow! He's 23 weeks. It was a perfect, 5 note, crow. So excited.

Well, I thought I knew that my bantam cochin was healthy, but she wasn't. So my chickens were exposed to whatever she has for about 12 hours. I don't want her to be a carrier and spread it to the others and her offspring, so I guess we're culling her today. Such a huge bummer. I really liked her.

Anyone have any HEALTHY banty cochin hens/pullets for sale?

I am selling blues, blacks and Mille Fleur bantam Cochins.

I didn't want to post yet another one of my issues, but...
Dewey walked out of his job on Tuesday. No, he doesn't have another job.
I need to rehome my horse and many of my birds. I am keeping as many as I can, but without an income... I have been buying feed ahead, so I have 150# on reserve, but it won't last if I don't part with some of these birds.

Along with the bantam Cochins, I have chocolate English bantam Orps, BBS US Orps and a pair of Toulouse geese.
And the horse.

I actually think she has IB, so we probably won't have to cull her unless she gets a lot worse.
