Picture please! I bet they are gorgeous! I'm waiting for Dennis's sexlink girls for next year.I know nothing about Quail except for 20 years ago someone gave me feathers that I used to make Christmas orniments. I assume you can't mix them with chickens?
Dennis--THANK YOU again for my three pretty girls who are laying blue eggs EVERY DAY! They already have names and the lavender color puts any Orpington I have owned to shame!
Replied. I'm used to facebook terminology. If anyone else wants a box of 30 quail eggs, let me know.Dennis, I sent a message but it was as a 'conversation', not a PM.... if needed I can restart it. I don't know if conversation new messages send notifications.
Does anyone need a beautiful, gentlemanly 3-month-old cockerel, carries genes for blue and brown eggs, son of the pampered rooster Adam? He is being beaten up by the hens, and must go. Should be a good protector when older.
Where do you live? We will be driving to Western PA May 15 to pick up our son from college.think you're too far from me unfortunately. I could use a new Ameraucana roo.... mine has become quite the jerk!

CMU. But he graduates in 2 weeks so this will be our last trip to Pittsburgh.I'm near Patton, PA. What college is your son going to (if you don't mind me asking lol)
She is gorgeous! Is she friendly? I had a silk feathered black Ameraucana, Candy, that was just a cuddle bug! She was shy for a couple weeks when I got her at about 12 week old, but later decided to be a lap chicken. Unfortunately, we lost her to Marek. My son just wants another ameraucana, and I ordered one from my pet chicken, but I doubt she will be very friendly as a hatchery chicken and just hope she will be "she". When Dennis has his sexlink ameraucanas, I will definitely get a few.View attachment 2647356
The brown on her is just dust. Her Lavender/grey is so deep and soft and utterly matte. I have some nice pictures from the farm too if Dennis doesn't mind me posting them?
