I have a pair of young Welsummers that need to find a new home. Well, it's more realistic to say that I'm willing to sacrifice a pullet to find a home for a cockerel...
Anyway, they are 17 weeks old. They were raised by broody hens, so they are very worldly-wise. The cockerel is a sweet and goofy fella. The little lady isn't laying yet, but I have some older pullets from the same bloodline, and they lay nice dark eggs. I expect similar eggs from this girl.
If anyone is interested in seeing pics of the eggs I'm getting, just ask. I've been out of town all weekend, and I have some saved up from when I was gone. I can snap photos of them tomorrow.
