I'm a newbie.  I'd guess partridge cochin pullet - because she looks just like mine - except mine are boys!

You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, you can make a purse out of it, but it won't be silk. LOL

Maybe in about another 30-40 years I'll get this "being an expert" thing figured out by then. LOL

Still trying to practice Granny's advice 'if you don't have anything nice to say then keep it to yourself' LOL been at it for 45 years still don't have it down pat yet!

No way that is a RIR!!!! That looks like a Partridge Cochin hen to me.

Had a Coyote raid and killed all my birds. He gets my chickens we get his head.

It's not a pure Cochin because of the pea comb. I've never heard of a Partridge Brahma, though. Must be a Cochin cross.

Chris said..BYCers...guess I've got a Partridge Cochin Pullet.
So much for buying chicks from the Mexican guy @ the gas station...lol
Think about this Chris, you believed it was a RIR. This guy is a good salesman.
Any time you see feathers on the chicken's feet think not RIR. LOL
