Jersey Giants thread for pictures and discussion

I would like to have a thread to discuss Jersey Giants. I am new to the breed, and to poultry as well. If you have Giants, where did you get them? Here are some pictures of mine, Maria Hall line, hatched Sept 21, 2009.

I know that Bobbi porto in lutz florida is a breeder of them.  I have one of her roos, so I cannot get any hens from her....so am wondering the same thing...where do i get more hens from.

I've only had my giants for a few weeks, and love them.

Proud mom to 4 bratty kids , 2 cockatiels, a dog, 3 cats, and over 150 chickens.

I've heard of Cinda Brent having really good Giants. Have you heard of her? I wonder how to contact her though, as her website is no longer available.

Another breeder on here is Maria's Jersey Giants, not sure where though. I am getting some in the spring from My Pet Chicken with a chick order, I can't find anyone else to ship day old chicks. I would love to see what their eggs look like.

It Came to me that every time I lose a dog, they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart.
If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are"

Here are some Jersey Giant eggs ... the ones in the far back rows. These were from Wynette. She has great Giants.

Why are you not able to get them from her?

No pics of my Black Jersey Giants. I had 3. They were hens. They were about 3 months old before they died of the unknown disease.

Had a Coyote raid and killed all my birds. He gets my chickens we get his head.
