Thank you! Silkies are the best!
and how are you these days? Is your hip fully well yet? I can't imagine how painful that was.
It was Repaired. I am walking with a walker. It does help.
I will be baking Bread today. Bake Weekly

Oh, how beautiful your loaves are! Reminds me of my farm girl days when the kitchen was full of smells from my mom's baking, cooking, canning!

I'm glad to hear your break is repaired and are using a walker. I used a quad cane up until it twisted from under me and I fell breaking my humerus arm bone. I'm still in an arm splint today cuz orthopedist said it's taking too long to heal.

I also have a walker but can't use it yet because of the broken arm. I should have used the walker the day I broke my arm but in haste only used the quad which was not enough support while carrying a large box. Live and learn!

TG! DH has been able to take off work for weeks to care for me and the chickens. Those little birds have been a real joy and will probably be our last birds since we are aging
now.

My Nitro walker doubles as a wheelchair when DH takes me to Dr appts. The brake wires are hidden inside the frame so there are no wires sticking out the sides. It has an ample backrest and large seat, and large carry bag. It's big but glad we had it as a wheelchair too. I can't use it in the chicken yard as it's way too big. We'll need a smaller wheeled walker so it doesn't scare the Silkies.

WOW...we have both been through a lot. At least you can still
get around. My Husband passed and that was the End of a perfect life. I cannot do stairs. And fortunately I have neighbors that help. My son and his wife and my daughter
who lost her husband do not live near by. They alternte weeks
visiting. And I bake weekly for them to take home. I do enjoy
my baking.

I cannot tend to Chickens...and am grateful for family and friends. It is a differnt Life... and it is taking time to adjust.

I am on the Anyone Can Bake BYC forum. They have chickens
and are a group that like to bake. Wonderful people. I enjoy
the group. One of the Bakers started me on Sourdough Baking.
It was in 2016 and I bake Sourdough Breads. I have been
baking for YEARS and love it.

So nice visiting with you. Enjoy the best we can.

@Aria -- I got another rolling walker to use outdoors when I garden or visit the Silkies.

Got 3 eggs from the 3 new Silkie pullets today and DH put them on one plate to see the different colors they lay. The Silkies are just a little over 7 months old.
