Just wondering how long eggs can sit out in the heat and still be safe to eat? What is I find one that has been sitting a few days?

Eggs are quite safe to eat if not collected each day.
The thing to watch for is, if the shell is cracked - that would be dubious and I would give it to the dog.
There's always the "water" test if you find a few and not sure how long they've been around.

Placing the egg in a glass filled with water. If it floats its bad. If its half way, its edible, but not ultra fresh. If it sinks its quite new.

Bowl of water (deep enough for egg to be covered) Place egg in it...If egg sinks it's good:woot

If it floats.... YUK!!!
