Chicken Jungle Gym

Thread Starter

I wanted to give my girls some vertical space.  So we built a chicken jungle gym out of the scrap wood from the hen house construction.

My DH making a set of roosts.

How did I go from 4 to 24 chickens?

Awesome!

I wish you lived closer - I need one of those for my parrots!

I may have to copy that.

Very creative.

I am glad to see this! smile

I too did the same thing to use some of the empty vertical space in my run....I was told by several people that birds are ground animals (tell that to my chicken who flies on top of my 6ft run) and would not use this sort of thing....

That is awesome!  Ground birds - ha!  Mine like to go to the upper roosts in their run.  YOU took it to the next level!  wink

What a great idea!  I'm sure your chooks love it -- I know mine would.  I'll have to see what I can come up with ... smile  Thanks for sharing!

Momma loves her babies!  8 cats, 45 inside birds, 3 guineas,  RIRs, BRs,  BOs ,  Lorpie girls, Golden Comets, OEGB  BBreds, bantam frizzle cochins,  3 white Silkies, EEs, some silkie/cochin mixes, silkie/frizzles, ducks (3 white Pekins, 1 buff Saxony & 1 Silver Appleyard), and 1 Blue Slate turkey who thinks she's a chicken...   (did I miss anyone?...)  Nope!  Now let's all have pie.

That is very COOL!!!  You give me ideas and that is what I LOVE about BYC's.

All I have are large branches on log halves that are very popular but then there is all this wasted space.

I'm going to plan something based on your plans.  Thank you

These are my original 10 birds taken last year - up to 30+ (how did that happen?)
