Understanding Basic Colour genetics (Mallards/Derivitives)

I meant crested gene the crested ducks can cause mental disabilities.
Oh! Ok

That makes sense.

Just want to chime in on a few things...

Saxony ducks crossed with khaki campbell... Khaki have the chocolate brown sex linked gene, If you bred a khaki drake to a saxony female, any offspring that would be chocolate in appearance would be females. The chocolate would be slightly diluted due to having incompletely dominant blue. Light phase would be hidden as it is recessive. Saxony ducks are light phase and homozygous incompletely dominant blue, Khaki's are dusky with chocolate (brown sex linked recessive).

As for the other ducks, agreed, they look like swedish bred with wild mallard phenotype birds.. all are mallard derivatives. As for cresteds, the previous poster is right as well, it can be lethal depending on how it is bred.

Best of luck!
