Wanting to go about adding the cream gene into some of my d'anver color projects in the coming years. I have seen the lemon millie fluer'duccles before, and have seen them in d'anver from Germany photos too. This is what my eventual goal is, lemon cream millie fluer d'anvers. Question is... who in the USA has any of these? It has been a horrible time trying to fine them. Does anyone know of another breed that has successfully been bred to cream? Any close to d'anver would be of use, OEGB, Dutch, D'uccles etc...Wondering if any of you have decided to play around with this color too, and if so what your results were. How easy does the gene transfer to the pattern? 2 breeding like most?
Any help would be great, as would any leads to bantam breeders in the US with cream birds.
Thanks

Did you not have any luck with the gal that had the Mille and Cream Mille dutch that we found a while back ? I know who said the first batch of eggs were busted but did she ever send replacements ?

No Clint, and she only had 1 pair, so eggs were hard to come by, hope she has more this spring, she's the only one I have found with them in millie

Tim, thanks for that, never looked at Ideals dutch will give them a shot and see what happens, quality doesnt matter, just need the gene, would be an out cross anyway, so will take several year of work on them anyway, Thanks

Oh, Well thats a bummer becuase that would have saved you lots of time since its already the right color, just the wrong breed. But maybe you can steal the gene from those Dutch that Tim mentioned and make them. What about those Mille Dutch for the phoenix project, did that ever pan out or will she have more of those in the spring ?

Yep, that's kind a what I was looking at too. My GA girl already has millie phoenix birds going, no it never panned out though, but hopefully I can just get some from her already in phoenix soon!
