Black or Blue Sultans Breeders in the USA?

I am on the hunt (not literally) for black or blue Sultans. I know they are wicked rare outside of Europe, but if they are out there in the USA, I'd like to find a breeder. Perhaps get some eggs as shipping birds gets to be way too expensive and risky. Especially with such a rare breed.

Never heard of them within the U.S. Honestly, it's a struggle to find even nice quality whites. I've seen a few very scarce auctions of blacks, blues, and cuckoos in the UK, and there's a nice looking black cock pictured on feathersite. Besides those, I've never heard of any more exsistance of them.

Good luck on your search. I'd love to try my luck at working on the breed someday.
 
The auctions I found were very old at the time, even older now. I can't seem to find them through google, but a bit of digging may unearth them.

ACTUALLY, I just remembered seeing a black in a book I have, Storey's Illustrated Guide to Poultry Breeds. And the black pictured there is far nicer than the ones on the auction sites. And accoarding to the credits in the back, the bird belongs to a woman by the name of Kathy Troxell. Troxell also works with Polish. I couldn't find any contact information from her, sadly.
 
my friend use to have 2 if not all three colors here in the U.S.
Black, White, & i think Blue. they sold them years ago, not sure if the lines are even in existence anymore ???

I'd love to know where they got the Sultans from in the first place. I have a photographer looking into his files on a black Sultan roo he took a picture of, from a woman in Ohio. He emailed back saying that he thinks she gave her flock away to 2 people. He is getting back to me with further details. But if your friend can email me or if its ok to give their number/email to me, I'd sooooo appreciate it. Just tracking down this color is turning out to be an epic journey. PM me with any details you have on this. I'd love to start breeding. I have emails to a few UK breeders but haven't heard back yet. Problem is, alot of the listings I see are old and many have moved on from Sultans....alot of dead ends.
 
Yeah, finding White Sultans is already rare enough. . . but blue and black. . .

Even hatchery Sultans I'm really on the thought that none are purebred and actually Sultans. Most of them I've been seeing have such obvious signs of having Silkie in them, and if you really think about the traits of both, it isn't hard to sell a smooth feathered Silkie-cross to someone as a Sultan.
