What's so funny? JJ uses them too, and there are a lot of other people. It is solid and can hold birds. You can also put a wire vent on it and keep button quail in it.

Here is one of mine. We are making a second one for staggered hatches.
Here's one of mine.Each of the top and middle compartments are 4'x3'x18",the bottoms are 3'x2'x18".My other brooder has 8 3'x2'x18" compartments.
