Muggs, I love your BYC page - inspiring and funny!

Makes me think I'm under-utilizing my acre with just a dozen hens (12 incubating though), two bee hives, and the gardens. Alpacas, hmmmm.......

Thank you! Next on my list will be beehives! Well, there's no order...just an ongoing list. Goats, ducks, honeybees, mini horses...and a larger farm! I will need all the advice I can get on honeybees, though. I must say they intimidate me.

There's lots to learn, but it's very interesting, and getting stung isn't all that bad - and doesn't happen all that often if you're sensitive to the mood of your hives. I've been learning treatment free beekeeping which is even more challenging. A good place to begin might be "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Beekeeping". I know the authors, they're very well informed. Next on my list of possibles may be some pilgrim geese.

Going on Amazon and ordering the book. Thanks.

Pilgrim geese are so pretty. I just looked them up. They are a friendly breed and the goslings can be sex linked.
