how would boil eggs without used stove top?

Husband here,
The kids and I have built a few of these now. The smallest can boil 2 eggs in about 40 minutes and the big one will do 2 cups of rice in about an hour. I tested these on the winter solstice so the results should be even better going into summer.

Most importantly you want to have a good reflective surface. Aluminum foil is what I used on the big one and that works. The small one we called the HoBo cooker because it can be made out of 13 soda cans. I glued a space blanket to make more reflective surfaces. This got oil in the can to 340 degrees in 20 minutes.

I put a picture of the measurements for the small one in the photo album, make 12 sides. I used heavy card stalk glue, tape and some space blanket to make it. Cost $3
Here is a great site with lots of other plans http://solarcooking.org/plans/

Have fun!
