Yes, I am disappointed that I didn't win, but--hey--that's life! Congrats to the winners--one of which was my friend with whom I am pictured in her entry! I appreciate that the BYC staff has taken time for such an undertaking! Thanks also to the company that donated the coop (sorry, the name escapes me at the moment).

I do have one constructive suggestion. Like the part about awarding extra points for taking the photo in the feed store, how about also awarding extra points for the tagged people also being BYC members? These days everyone is on FB, but that doesn't mean that they are BYC members or even have chickens or worse even know anything about chickens. I think it would be nice for those who gathered up their chicken keeping friends to get a little more for their efforts than those who just took a photo with a bunch of their FB friends, tagged them, and got several entries for it. Just a thought for next time...hope there is a next time!

BYC was, and is built on continued growth and improvement in all areas. We definitely appreciate friendly and helpful feedback, thanks!

With every experience we try to learn from mistakes and successes and then attempt to do more of the latter and less of the former.
 
This site has come a long ways in a little over four years. I was here when all the nay sayers said it wouldn't survive the year. That was over 90,000 members ago. Obviously the dedication and cooperation of all the people on BYC has accomplished something great. So based on that up against a few glitches I'll side with the progress of this community.
 
Well apparently I cant post pics just yet... but...

Thank you Backyard Chickens and Handcrafted coops!!! We just received our coop today and it only took minutes to put together. This contest has gotten many friends, schoolmates and family members of ours interested in keeping chickens. Especially in our city were backyard chickens are still pretty rare. Our hens made them selves comfortable right away and today we were surprised with a first egg by one of our hens
