Day light savings Rant

I have a friend in Arizona and last time I spoke with him, he said they DO NOT change their clocks. Lucky him!

The sun does what it does, regardless of what time is on our clocks

The days will always be longer in the summer and shorter in the winter, we just like to change the clocks as an excuse to "save" some of that daylight for when we get off work

We could just change the time that we work, would make about as much sense - who decreed that we should all get off at 5pm anyway? Clearly somebody who never thought of rush hour traffic

When I was a kid, winters used to get pretty hellish, it'd get dark as early as 3.30, and it'd be already dark by the time school let out. I used to catch the bus home as well, it was a pretty long walk, although only down a main road so things weren't too bad.

They won't fine us, but we will be late according to the hyperactive ants that thought the idea was great in the first place.

If you work from dawn to dusk what does it matter what the clock says? I have family who farm and they HATE DST because it makes the auto parts store (for tractor and truck parts) closes EARLIER along with feed stores and other businesses they use.
