I recently recieved a pair of Lavender Cochin Bantams from Maryland. They both arrived safe and sound. Okay, so now I would like to start shipping birds ( chickens...duh ). I want to ship only threw Express Mail and not Priority Mail. So do I just put fruits and things in there for them to eat and ship'em off or is there something else I need to do? Thanks

Here are the shipping requirements for adult birds and chicks through the USPS. No, you do not need to put any food or water in as far as I am concerned; but your customer would need to get to it pretty quickly once they arrived. Adult birds are certainly more hardy. Most people ship express mail with live birds. BYCer "The Warden" has done it before, I think.
