I have an extra rooster that I'd like to re-home. I have no idea of his breed background; he tries to grow a few feathers on his feet every once in a while, and he has an extra toe on one foot. He's standard sized (probably around 6 pounds) and Colombian in coloring, but I'm not aware of any standard breeds with 5 toes.
He's almost a year old; I bought him last summer as a pullet (guess he was just a late bloomer ^^; ). I've had him in with 3 hens, but he needs more as they were getting bald patches. I don't believe this would be an issue if he had access to a larger flock of hens or free ranged for most of the day. He hasn't shown any human aggression and is generally docile.
I was thinking of sending him to freezer camp, but he's had a good temperament so far in relation to people, and I'd hate to do it. If anyone is interested in taking him in, please post or PM me with any questions you may have. If you'd like him, just PM me, and I'll be glad to set up a time for you to pick him up or to meet you if you live nearby.
