Mine is the "Coope De Ville" It is a serious out of control building made by seriously over achievers! HAHAHA. We have six pens and a brooder room under one roof that is 45 feet long and 8 feet wide. Each pen is 6 x 8 and the bonus room is 8 x 9. It is like a chicken townhouse complex...the Coope de Ville" lol how fitting for a Florida coop! Amid all the condos and townhouses for Florida"

My husband named ours the "Winchester Chicken House" after the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, CA. It just keeps growing and growing! Every weekend, I have a new project for DH to help me with!

The sign is not painted yet, just primed and waiting. I guess that should be next weekend's project!

My son, who is 8, hatched chickens in his class for "The Cycle of Life" study. We volunteerd to bring home 4 of the chicks and turn our aviary that was not being used into a coop. This is our first time with chickens and we are not sure what breed they are but so far they are very sweet. They are six weeks old this week and we are worried that 2 of them may be roos. My son has named the chicks "Drumstick", "Omelet", "Eggy" and "Scrambles". I told him to pick a name for the coop and he choose "In N Out Chicken" after his favorite burger place. This has been such an enlightening website that is filled with good information and great people. I am glad to be a part of it.

I just finished a midcentury modern Ikea Hack coop (similar to THE Ikea hack coop, but with glass doors mounted horizontally as transom-like windows, fully enclosed siding and a "post and beam" roof).

We call it the "Honshus" (umlaut over the "o").

Means Chicken coop in Swedish, of course!
