Arabian (trumpiter?) pigeons...

ATs are marvelous pigeons, indeed. Mine all went to a fancier in Mexico (I am 12 miles from the Texas/Mexico border) but I can share a few photos.





Good ATs should have a little dewlap as well, as in this photo of one of the "plain" ATs.



A British fancier once told me that his aunt (I believe) travelled in Saudi Arabia and that the ATs from each village had a slightly different vocalization. Can't verify that, but the birds can entertain you. Just be sure that the "lovely noise" does not bother your neighbors. My birds greeted me in the morning with my roosters--and that was "lovely noise" to my ears. They can be just loud enough, however, to get unwanted attention if your coop is too close to the property line.
