Question about worming chickens and egg consumption afterward

I bought a wormer for my chickens at the local feed store today called "Pig Swig Piperazine water wormer". It says its relatively Non-toxic but I was just wanting to know if it would be safe to eat the eggs after worming them with it and if not how long should I wait before eating them again. Which it want actually be a problem not eating the eggs because im currently only getting 2 eggs every few days from a flock of around 30 which is why im worming them. I want to eliminate being wormy from the reasons they may not be laying. This is their first year of laying and they want be a year old till around august or september. I'm guessing they quit laying because it got so hot so quick but I still wanted to worm them just in case.
 
The product I used for the first worming was 'Wazine 17'. Active ingredient Piperazine. The withdrawal period for eating eggs is 14 days. At that time a second worming is needed.

That is when you can use another product to worm them and not necessarialy have egg withdrawal.

When I wormed the first time not all mine were laying, but one pullet started during that time-window.


I did scramble the eggs, and fed the inedible (by humans) eggs to the dogs, cat and chopped after scrambled to the chickens. Good source of protein right?

There are LOTS and lots of posts here in BYC about worming--so do a search....and you will get a great education on it.

For 14 days I would not use the Piperazine eggs for human consumption.
 
We use food grade de and we also put apple cider vinegar in there waterer it keeps the water clear and algae free and it is a natural wormer. We have never had issues with worms so this method works well and you don't have to worry about the eggs as this is all natural and organic way of worming.
