Pullets leg sticking straight out on front of her, PHOTOS ADDED 6/17

Really sounds like a dislocated hip. Especially if she seems fine other wise. If she has Mareks she will go down hill fast. I have first hand experience with Mareks.
Don't know why people don't vaccinate.

I recently had a silkie/leghorn pullet develop sudden paralysis. Took her to 2 different vets and they did not think it was mareks and was at a loss. She would go downhill then rebound and be fine but never with out the paralysis. The last time she was too far gone to come back so I did have her put down. She lasted 2 months like this and I became very attached and she was the sweetest girl ever. She never displayed any other symptoms. Poops looked good and no respiratory issues at all. I did get a necropsy done when I did have her put down. 1 1/2 months later I received the report back from the vet. (Just this Monday actually) and it really didn't tell me much. Just there is possible evidence of a prior infection in the gut. I was really hoping for a more definitive answer. None of my other flock has shown anything like this so I imagine she could have gotten into something she shouldn't have eaten maybe???

I found a vet that knows chickens, and actually likes them, and took her in. Her other leg was starting to go 'out' also, and I did not want to go into the weekend this way. It was her tendon, and the stress on her other leg was creating issues there. Sadly, we ended up euthanizing her.
Thank you all for trying to help, I sincerely appreciate it.

So sorry to hear that. At least you were able to get some resolution of her problem and can be at peace knowing you did the best for her:(

Thanks Kelar. It was a sad ending, but, finding a caring, gentle and knowledgeable vet was such a good thing. It really helped; knowing what is wrong, and being able to make a decision based on that knowledge was priceless.
Also, good to know that it was an injury, NOT Marek's, or some other disease.

I have this, I’ve been constantly researching for months, tried everything but nothing has worked.
