Don't get me wrong we still have 14 reg. dairy goats and are menber of ADGA , but some goats drive me crazy---which is a short drive for me---

I am a member of ADGA as well. Most of my goats are not registered, hard to find them around here. Got the ones I have in Arkansas , the registered ones that is.

Good morning

Beautiful GSD you have Coach. I'd love to have a pet pigmy goat but the hubby says " No Way" sooooooo, no goat. I have so many outdoor projects on hold because of the heat that I am doubting I'll be able to get them all done before it's time to go back to work. Oh well, some will have to wait for the next break from work.

One goat by itself would be miserable. Why do husbands have to be so controlling? IMO if you are going to care for it, what difference does it make, unless you want a lion that may eat him?

Wives can be just as difficult. I wanted a couple of goats and she said no but it is ok for her to have her horses that you can't even touch. We have separate bank accounts and she can't even afford to feed them so guess who gets to do that. Yup, you're right. Its me feeding 11 horses you can't even touch. Has she had the last 2 colts cut? That would be no also. The oldest was breeding one of the mares a few months ago. Sorry to rant, but I wanted to prove it could be wives too.

Yes, I am sure wives can be difficult as well. My husband likes things neat, I could care less about tidy. I collect things , he doesn't . But if he wants some sort of animal, I can handle that. We have always supported each other in career changes. When I called him up one day when we lived in Nova Scotia and told him we were moving to Florida , he said OK.
Today I mailed two boxes of eggs and delivered 6 dozen eggs to a restaurant. The guy was supposed to get chicks but he's coming tomorrow morning. Had a whole bunch more chicks hatch today. The bators are getting emptier every day. It's weird.
Had a rotten headache again, I think it's sinus.
The red silkie rooster showed up alive in chicken city this morning. He was hanging out by the RIR pen. But tonight he went back into the barn. Yay! I need to catch him and put him in a pen.
I bought four cans of paint today, $1 ea for. 2 Quarts and $5 each for 2Gallons of exterior for chicken coops. Love those mistints. Oh and I bought about 6 outfits for the new granddaughter

Yeah, Hubby and I usually agree on most everything but the goat...lol. And you are right, one goat just would not be a happy camper even as a pet so no goat. I have been wanting another manx cat ever since we left Michigan 20+ years ago and seen an add for free manx kittens and the mother cat so I went and got the mama cat and 1 kitten. They are so sweet. They will be indoor cats.
We FINALLY got some rain, about time. The grass and trees were really suffering. The grass will come back quickly but really the trees will need more rain.

Oh boy, it was a big fight when I brought home a Siamese kitten. I had been looking at the paper and saw an ad for Siamese. I said look dear, there are Siamese kittens in the paper! He says, That's the only type of cat I would let you get. So I went and got one. Somehow that was not the right thing to do. I guess he was mad because I didn't ask first. He slept on the sofa for a week. Now he loves that cat and plays with her every day. Guys are so funny:-D

LOL.......the mama manx is a blue point siamese too.....she is just gorgeous and we are happy we got her. The kitten is solid black and semi long hair. She is just a sweety too. Manx are people loving cats. And I've convinced DH we need to add lavender ameraucanas to flock for a different color and if I can find some blue JGs he will be happy

I had a pair of black jersey giants, beautiful chickens but they were old and their eggs didn't hatch so I sold them. I love looking at my lavender orpingtons, they are eye candy for me. I have been hatching out lots of little lav chicks.
