I was on a wall 8 feet high with a four foot fence in front of me!......

I vaulted that fence like an Olympian and bolted for the pool!! I jumped right in freezing water fully dressed, clippers and gloves......

. that storm was so bad and the torrent of Water flowing thru the Ditch in front of my house I'm sure he was washed into a storm drain. he was only 3 inches.. so just a baby.. I'll be suprised if someday I go outside and he's crawling around the yard., this just makes me want to work harder and quicker at fencing our yard n finish digging the mini pond were hand digging for them. then i can build the wall around it for them. and If the pond over flows they can't get out excpt for their enclosure.. area.

Well the good thing is that baby turtles grow up in the wild all the time. I'm sure he made it just fine on his own, but I know it's sad to lose a pet.

Oh no!! The ducks and chickens were probably wondering why you were hanging out in the barn for so long! Two hours, that had to have sucked!

Just for future reference though....if you get a hornet or bee sing, apply "fluoridated" toothpaste to the site and the pain will stop instantly. I have used this treatment on myself and my children several times. It really works.
 
Had the exact opposite happen..I don't have a farm (yet, still looking). One day when I was dressed in some fairly aggressive business attire I ended up with just enough time to run to the co op for some chicken feed if I hurried. I got delayed in traffic and I was pushing late so I was in high gear when I got there. I went striding in, clacking heels and must have had a determined look on my face. All the farmers literally stopped in mid sentence and parted like the red sea. One old farmer in overalls actually backed away from his place in line and gave it to me. They relaxed when I ordered 50 pounds of layer crumbles, but for a minute there I thought they were going to go for the pitchforks and run me out. I can't wait to have enough land to dance naked in the rain...in fact I'm going to make a point of it
