how often to roosters breed?

hmm another good reason to just keep my Girl's! No Boy's allowed.

Both eggs that were incubated end up being roosters. They are now 5 months old and in the last week have been mating with the 8 girls I have. I need to get rid of one rooster but not sure which. I am really upset by their gang style breeding. One will Jp a hen and the other will jump on top of him. They take turns pinning the girls down and pulling out their neck feathers. It's like a constant squawking battle and my girls are not enjoying it one bit. I feel sorry for them. They are almost two years old and haven't had to deal with this. Any suggestions? Who to keep and who to cull?

So, i know this a really old thread, but i just got a rooster for my girls after a couple of years. I just saw him do the deed.. but he was only on her for like 10-15 seconds. he is only about 5 months. is that normally how long it takes him to do his business or he is just practicing? thanks!

Yep that's the full thing. It doesn't last long.
I should make a comment about men now but I'll leave it alone. Too many ladies on this forum

Think of your rooster as if were a 16 year old hormonal boy ... one track mind ... woman are first and foremost on the brain .... that leads to fighting .... but they'll stop for a snack in between ... the only thing that distinguishes them apart ... chickens don't steal cars !
