I have a flock of Self Blue (Lavender) Old English I am ready to part with. I have just decided to forgo raising this particular color because I need to cut back due to feed cost and this color does not cross with the other colors I am currently raising.

Almost of the birds are a little on the large side, but they are over all pretty birds. The oldest rooster does have a lot of yellow in his hackle and saddle, but to me it makes him that much prettier. Maybe not something you want to have if you are breeding towards show quality.

I have a lot of luck selling babies out of these birds. The hens have been good and fertile for me, but due to the recent heat they haven't been laying as much the last couple of weeks.

There are 11 birds total. One Brood Cock (1 Yr Old), 4 Laying Hens (1 Yr Old, 9 Months Old and Two 7 Months Old), 3 Pullets (Two 4-5 Months Old and 3 Months Old), 2 Cockerels (4-5 Months Old) and 1 Chick (3-4 Days Old).

They have been nice healthy birds. I have the information of where they all came from and they are all from NPIP flocks. A few are from Ideal and the rest are from two different breeders. There is a mix of genetics from different places, so they are not all related.

I am not set up to ship them, but I may meet part way if reasonable. I am asking $75 for all 11 birds. I have a lot more than this in them, but I am ready to get some space opened up and cut down on my feed bill.

Or best offer. I really need to find a home for these birds.

I am still getting several eggs from these hens daily despite the hot weather, just not 1 from each bird each day.

Hmmm... I'll have to think about this. I'm getting started in Old English Game Bantams. We're building more pens this coming week so I couldn't make a decision until they're done anyways.

Do you happen to have any other colors that you're selling in pairs or trios?

I was mislead a little by some people on the quality of their birds when I first started buying into Old English, so I do not want to do the same to someone else.

If you are looking for some pretty pets or birds that you can use to work towards a goal these might be good for you, but if you are wanting birds you can show or will produce show quality chicks straight off you might not want these.

I do have a pair of blues (regular blue) for $20 but they are of about the same quality. A little large and the male is pretty brassy. I am selling them because they will not work for the goals I am breeding towards.

I'm not lookin for show quality or anything. Just some that I personally think are pretty. I've got some from Ideal and some from other people's back yard flocks. I'm mainly just interested in birds that are already grown or at least half grown. Waitin on chicks is frustrating no matter how adorable they are.

I'm going to Dallas next weekend so I'll talk to my boyfriend and see what he thinks.

Ok, if you just want pretty pets than these are definitely beautiful birds in my opinion. The heat is getting to some of them and causing them to molt a little, but they are very pretty generally.

You can either message me or I can give you my number and I can let you know what I still have available around that time.
