...and blech, blech BLECH! It was one of the most terrible things I've tasted. It smelled like pencils and tasted like vomit. I was so disappointed! I love dried papaya and figured the fruit would taste similar. I ended up having to throw most of it out because I don't have any chickies to feed it to here at school.

What is something you've tasted that was absolutely horrible?

Maybe you had a bad papaya? They are smooth sweet goodness when ripe! They are ripe when the outside starts to look like it's going to rot or mold over and its soft.

Try some durian. I LOVE that stuff but some say it smells like poop....
 
My Mom made this chicken once, out of a bag. It was Chicken flavored with lime...I remember trying not to complain, but my Mom even admitted that it was bad.

The seeds were a bit lighter in color but the flesh was really red/pink. I don't know though because I've never bought a papaya before! Now I'm hesitant to buy one again! I only spent a dollar something on this one though, so I wasn't totally heartbroken about throwing it out!
 
Pickled Beets! I have tried and tried.. i start gagging as soon as they hit my mouth...
