Slugs...what to do?

I have trapped them in watermelon, cantalope and pumpkin rinds at night. You could definately put those out in the run at night. If the fruit doesnt have enough of its on water in it, add some water. They go in and fall in it and drowned. Then the chickens have a double snack.

You could trap the slugs. Put out a snack they like. Lay cardboard or wood boards on damp ground near the snack. The slugs should wander under the cardboard to rest through the day and be waiting for you to collect them at your leisure. No need to get up at the crack of dawn.
