Anyone ever ship fresh eggs for eating? I live in NC and would love to surprise my Dad in OR with a dozen fresh eggs. Anyone ever done this? Would they be ok with Priority mail which is about 3 days. Any suggestions?

They will be fine. Fresh eggs are good even unrefrigerated for at least a couple weeks. I would suggest not washing them before shipping. And pack them well.
Nice thing to do for your dad.
Funny, but I can't recall ever seeing a post like this before.

my nephew at notre dame want fresh eggs from here in south texas....can that be done...and how....should I put them in a carton and then package the carton?

oh nooooo I will then put the carton in middle of box of shipping pellets...do you think that will work??

I haven't shipped any yet but someone wants me to ship them goose eggs for eating when my girls start laying eggs.

i would like some to hatch....if you have gander with them........i'm started getting bored without birds....have over 12 incubator....maybe setting them up will help past the time.

I would even hatch a few for local people......getting the hatching fever
