new to the chicken game and was wondering if there where any good sellers or breeders in the central ky. area...im looking to buy 6 or 7 young brown egg layers that are just starting to lay now...thanks
 
There's a Ky people thread and also a Ky traders thread. I do have production red pullets for sale. I'm just north of Lexington.

Definitely say hi over on the state forum. Seems like there is a concentration of breeders is SW of Lexington, Harrodsburg/Danville area and south. The folks way out in the Western part of the state seem to breed even more birds, but it is a little too far for us. Don't forget to check Craigslist. As winter approaches folks like to thin their flock, reduce feed bills.
 
I'm not a breeder but I will be hatching eggs in the spring. Right now I have some br eggs in the incubator but not sure how cold they got outside before I collected them. I'm in Franklin ky.
