I am just learning about this breed/color. I have a fondness for Orpingtons and in my search for an orpington Rooster to add to my flock I came across this color and I am intrigued. Can Anyone speak to the temperament of the rooster or is it like all orpingtons? I found a place that I can buy a pair about a year old and the price seems right, so wondering what else I should be looking for?
Any help would be appreciated.

I have had many varieties of orps. My mottleds are some of the friendlier of all the varities. I raise them very hands on with lots of attention so that might have something to do with it... I would highly recommend them!

Genetic question: what kind of results would one get from breeding mottleds to cuckoo orps? Just curious. Seems like it would make a mess but I just have to ask lol
