Can anybody recommend a breeder, preferably in the TX/OK/MO area? I've been searching the web and haven't come up with any. I'd like to get a few chicks or hatching eggs for the spring. I'm interested at giving poultry showing a try and this is the breed that interests me the most. Thanks!

post #5 of 151/28/12 at 7:09amThere are several members of the American Brahma club that are members of BYC. Not sure whether they raise LF or bantams. I havent been associated with that club for over 10 years. Those that raise Lf Darks are few and far in between. And those who raise them are spread in the southeast more than the midwest. I only have bantams left on my place as I have lost my LF. Still trying to secure some good breeding stock myself.
I am located 26 miles North of Kansas City, Missouri. Good luck.

I actually prefer the lights, and that would be my first choice...no interest in the buffs at all.
post #7 of 152/6/12 at 6:25pmi have large frame light Brahma's. i have only showed my birds at county fairs. took first place in all fairs i entered them in. i can email pictures or you can see them in my profile. i feel i would do well in showing them in bigger shows. it will be a month or so before i would have any eggs available. i am hatching every egg laid for the next month or so.
