I'm sorry if my post was misleading and caused you concern. If you only use low to neutral ph water than there is no danger. However, if you use any acidic additives such as vinegar than there is a very real danger of zinc poisoning to your flock. If your waterers are showing any signs of corrosion, other than rust I would recommend removing them immediately. Flakes of galvanizing are also toxic so if the coating is flaking off get them away from your birds.So, Oldguy, is zinc leching from the waterers into my chickens?
